Owls are very cool. I hope that little guy makes it.
I don't know if you remember the big green house in the next block up from me in Indianapolis, but there would be great horned owls in their trees from time to time. Usually at dusk, so you could hear them hooting, but couldn't see them very well. I've seen owls around in Park Forest too.
